Wow, giving LSU alot of love. Says Keiland Williams will be a household name by September. First National guy I have seen pay attention to Chad Jones. Also mentions RJF, TJ, HJ, RD, DB, and of course fans and food. Hate to admit it, but Herbie may be coming around. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/preview08/news/story?id=3548678
ESPN just picked up the SEC games, they have some new a$$ to kiss. http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/apwire/c2cc93fc94a21abb91222870e1b94268.htm
I am sure contract helps, but with all the other national publications overlooking us, he has done a decent job of pointing out how loaded we are. Most talking heads only want to point at QB position, and forget about everyone else. His motives may be in question, but I still love having those guys get some exposure. You would never see that jack#$@ Holtz acknowledge anything good....thats the guy I cant stand.
We're neither Notre Dame nor USC so it's safe to assume Holtz doesn't even know we exist. In his time-addled mind, he probably thinks USC won the BCS last year, narrowly edging out ND in an epic, back-and-forth contest of sheer wills.
Here is the Sporting News All American List for 2008, and to my point....these morons do not have one LSU player mentioned, not RJF, TJ, HJ????? OFFENSE QB Tim Tebow, Jr., Florida RB Chris Wells, Jr., Ohio State RB Knowshon Moreno, So., Georgia WR Michael Crabtree, So., Texas Tech WR Percy Harvin, Jr., Florida TE Travis Beckum, Sr., Wisconsin OL Duke Robinson, Sr., Oklahoma OL Jonathan Luigs, Sr., Arkansas OL Alex Mack, Sr., California OL Michael Oher, Sr., Mississippi OL Andre Smith, Jr., Alabama DEFENSE DL Fili Moala, Sr., USC DL Greg Middleton, Jr., Indiana DL George Selvie, Jr., South Florida DL Maurice Evans, Jr., Penn State LB James Laurinaitis, Sr., Ohio State LB Rey Maualuga, Sr., USC LB Scott McKillop, Sr., Pitt DB Malcolm Jenkins, Sr., Ohio State DB William Moore, Sr., Missouri DB Patrick Chung, Sr., Oregon DB Vontae Davis, Jr., Illinois SPECIALISTS K Thomas Weber, So., Arizona State P Kevin Huber, Sr., Cincinnati KR Jeremy Maclin, So., Missouri PR Joe McKnight, So., USC
I'd hate to say it, but those are all quality players. LSU's studs might be right there with them, but you can't knock what they've done.
yeah well unless scratching increases your punt return average by 20 yards, jockitch mcknight has done what? oh thats right, nothing to deserve that recognition. USC has enough quality players to be handing out freebies. Let LSU's line talent (what really counts) fly somewhat under the radar, minus dorsey, another decade at least til draft day. rubbing a little crystal on the slight seems to heal it up just fine.
