Doubtful. LSU played them last year and get them again in 2010. I know it'll be hard to come up with a quality opponent at this point but LSU doesn't need to be playing LaTech again so soon.

Looks like chance for an undefeated season to me folks. Not bad for a reloading year. We're not going to win any "Strength of Schedule" awards. There are five, maybe six, top 25 teams there. It depends on how Arkansas' season goes.

Louisiana Tech's schedule lists 12 games, and on 01/18 they put out at a release saying that was 2008’s schedule - LINK

Also Steele’s schedule has Arkansas playing Utah State on 11/01, and Tulsa recently announced they were dropping Texas Tech so they could play Arkansas on 11/01. Anyway it seems fair to say that Steele isn’t keeping up with new announcements.

Thanks for the additional info! I do see that Louisiana Tech plays Hawaii in Hawaii though, which means that they *could* schedule an extra game if they wanted to (thanks to the NCAA "Hawaii" rule, which is supposed to encourage teams to want to play Hawaii at Hawaii).

It is, but I do not think that the NCAA rule excludes conference teams from this optional game.

That's okay though, last year we had the toughest schedule out of all the NC contenders so the perception will roll over to this year. With a younger team this year, a patsy OOC could be good for us. Our schedule will be tough enough not to hurt us, which is all we really need.

Maybe they will schedule us anyways. The last two times LSU had La Tech and South Carolina on the schedule they brought home the :crystal:.

Good call, New Mexico State played 13 games last year. I still don’t think Steele is right, but you are in that it’s possible for LA Tech to play a 13th game. Thanks for pointing that out.
