Mine right now, and to be continued: - Georgia will show they are overrated. They will lose to Florida and not win the East. Everyone will finally realize Richt has two plays -- I-form run and I-form PA fake. - Auburn will be better on offense than people think, and better than this year. - Arkansas will finish ahead of Mississippi State Add your own.
LSU's D-line and O-lines will dominate most teams next year, leading way to an outstanding 7-1 record in SEC play, with LSU winning a rematch of an earlier loss to Florida in the SEC CG, earning LSU another BCS title shot, this time vs USC. You already know how the rest goes.........

LSU has one loss to florida. USC hammers OSU at home, then innexpicably, to toy with my emotions like always, drops one to Washington St. on the road, but still gets into the national title under heavy controversy. Everyone has at least 1 loss. SC over LSU 34-31 in a thriller (just to rile you guys up a little)
On thanksgiving day, the day before LSU plays Arky, Bobby Petrino leaves a note to his players that he's resigning and taking over as Mich's next HC after Rich Rodriguez is fired due to a 5-7 and another crushing defeat against Ohio State and for losing his highly rated freshman QB (Ryan Mallet) who was forced to trans to Arky of course, in order to get the #1 prospect in the nation (TP) who on signing day decided that he was gonna play for LSU.:LSU231: It's a small world after all!!!!:hihi:
Ok, here's my number 1 prediction. 1. OSU will beat USC. USC will lose one other game and lose out on appearing in the BCSNCG. The will however beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl and declare themselves national champions. Mitch Mustain's Mom will make several trips to Pete Carol's office wanting to know why her son is not starting. The frustrated Carol hires a new donditioning coach named Bruce something or other who immediately orders the Trojans to buy inline skates and report to the Venice Beach sidewalk everyday after the Oprah show. The national sports media goes gaga over this 'innovative' approach and immediately ranks USC #1 in the 2009 preseason poll. Rivals ranks USC's recruiting class # 1 also even though they don't have any recruits yet. OK, that's my # 1 prediction. I got other insightful predictions but TF keeps logging me off, probably for my own protection.
1. New Defensive Coordinator = New Defenses... that will be a tough adjustment, especially if the DC is hired from outside of the program. They should perform well, but under a brand new system, you can't have such lofty expectations. However, if we have the god awful "Co Defensive Coordinators", but could be a smoother transition, depending on how much of Pellini's system is held over. 2. Lack of experienced Corner backs = Lots O' Blown assignments and likely Lot's O' Passing yards for QBs who play us. Now, yes Patrick Johnson may come out all Champ Bailey as a true freshman... yes, Jai Eugene may not look completely lost every other play. But to think we will only allow 96 yds passing/avg per game... well I'm just going to bank on your predictions as being tongue-in-cheek. 3. Don't forget, Pellini not only was our DC, but also our DBacks coach. So all of those great Safties and Corners... were coached up by a great defensive mind. Depending on how the DC hire goes... we may get someone who isn't a Saban/Pellini kind of guy, which could mean the level of "coaching up" may not be there... just food for thought. 4. While I can almost believe your rush defense hype... I still believe our Linebackers need to show me a lot more before I buy into it. Losing Dorsey is huge, and while we are solid on DLine, it still remains to be seen whether Tyson Jackson can perform up to snuff. With our weakness at Linebacker, if we fail to hit a runner at the line... we may see backs chewing us up a little more then this past year... a la Chris Wells 60 yard run. Defense will not be the dominant part of this team. Our Offense should be stellar, but we may have a lot of kinks to work out on Defense. My Prediction... Losses @ UF and @ AU, but wins against everyone else including an ass beating handed to UGoverrAted by our boys in P&G. We win the West however and get revenge on UF in the SECCG... securing a Sugar Bowl birth against Clemson (winner of the ACCCG). OSU plays Oklahoma for the NC and finally wins (3 times a charm) over an overrated and increasingly bad big game coach ie Bobby Stoops.
Doug Mallory is the DB's coach, which many expect to become the next DC at LSU...I agree with you that these db's have been coached by a great defensive mind but not the one you were refering to.
My mistake... he was a DBacks coach at Oklahoma (as a Co DC), always assumed that carried over... and likely he still "helped" with the DBacks.
