Big measuring stick game tonight against the Celtics. We'll find out real quick if we're improving or just munching on the little teams.
To show how out of it I've been, I didn't even notice this deal until I read it in this week's ESPN power rankings. http://www.nba.com/hornets/news/HORNETS_ACQUIRE_ANTONIO_DANIEL-292646-31.html Hornets get Antonio Daniels from Washington and a future second round pick from Memphis and send Mike James to Washington. This sounds like a GREAT deal for the Hornets. Hopefully it will give us a respectable back-up at PG. Mike James could not run this offense.
He played against the Raptors. I didn't get to watch the game, but he played 9 minutes and had 5 assists. Didn't score, but still, 5 assists in 9 minutes. Not a bad first appearance.
Hornets are hanging tough, just a game out from the second seed in the west. Paul's having to do a lot of it himself right now because of all the injured players, but we are also luck we are in a weaker stretch of the schedule. Not much activity on this thread this year. Is it because it's early, or have all the Hornets fans left the building?
Hornets have another one of their bad losses to inferior competition last night. This one in particular hurts because it would have given the Hornets a chance to tie San Antonio in the Southwestern Division with a win tonight. On the bright side, they can still pull even in the loss column. Hopefully Tyson will be back tonight.
Chris Paul leaves the game tonight against Portland in the 3rd quarter with a strained right groin. Let's hope that heals and doesn't linger.
Wow.... Paul leaves the game with injury up 15... and this team absolutely falls apart. That was awful. Better hope Paul's not out for any length of time because this team is NOTHING without him.
totally what I was saying in the other thread. When ole CP3 isn't there -- suddenly West and the other joe-blows aren't All Stars anymore. That's why I supported Rafer Alston last year when he said David West wasn't a "true" all-star like Paul is, because it's true. Groins linger, though and that worries me, because a 75% Chris Paul will still be good, but I worry about if he will still be great without his 100% burst. Time will tell. I hope the kid is 100% soon, though.
I'd rather see us keep him out through the All Star break and drop a few we wouldn't otherwise than to see them rush him back and have it linger the rest of the year.
Agree, especially Chandler hasnt made real improvements on his game throughout his career which is a reason why I dont get the not resigning Bass deal. Also the Hornets should've sign someone like C. Maggette, Gerald Wallace or somebody that can score on their own and can put the ball on the floor.
