i went to the game tonight. (man, i get home fast, now that i live in queens) it was miserable. also i will not prepare my speech until the metropolitans are no longer in first place!
no worries, the mets will murder the marlins at home this weekend, and i will win my bet agaisnt myself and not need to leave forever.
question: If the Mets blow it, is this the end of Willie Randolph? Anywhere else, it'd an obvious no, but this is New York.
i hope so, willie is a horrible x's and o's manager. he frequently screws up double switches and generally makes poor decisions. he absolutely refuses to suicide squeeze even when it must be done, and he stays with veterans too long when they should be replaced by young studs. i used to say he was a good clubhouse motivator, but even that seems to have fallen apart. bring back bobby valentine.
