Jose "Class Act" Reyes hit a ball today down the third base line, and he literally didn't run... at all... to first base. the third baseball literally walked the ball to 1st, because Reyes didn't run.
he was probably just stunned to watch the "third baseball" exhibiting human characteristics. and anyways, he didnt "literally" walk it to first, he walked, then threw. and anyways, it was a mistake, he thought the ball was foul, randolph took him out, and i am sure next time he won't be such a dumbass.
well, it don't matter what he thought, the ball was fair and he should have at least jogged to 1st. he had plenty of time to at least jog. it don't matter what he "thinks". Andruw Jones thinks he will get A-Rod money, but he won't. you "think" the mets will win the WS, they won't. nah, i'm just clowning around, i actually thought the ball was foul, too.
incredible game at the stros last night. did you see beltran climb that stupid wall and extend the game? 17 innings, man that was awesome.
Timeline: July 4: After the Braves game, Scott Boras has dinner with his client and soon-to-be free-agent Andruw Jones to calm him about his 1st-half slump. July 5-now: Jones is 7-14 with 2 HR and 7 rbi in the 5 games the team has played. If Jones gets hot in the 2nd half, the Braves win this thing, considering they were within 2 games with one of their best hackers hitting below .200.
as i predicted, the braves are failing, and cannot even kep up with the philies. the east race will be over by next week. the return of pedro (which unfortunately not see pedro throwing a rehab game in metairie) will be the final piece of the championship puzzle. like i predicted before the season, it will come down to boston and new york in the world series.
you must mean the yankees and red sox, then, because no one is beating the Padres in the NL. Young and Peavy won't be touched. and we all know if they have a lead in the 9th, hoffman will save it.
