While we have the time, wanted to revisit this topic.

I just rewatched the Tennessee game. A few things really struck me: Perrilloux showed a TON of promise; the O-line is getting better and better; big Herman makes me smile after every big play - he's the first one there to pick the little ball carriers off the ground; Chad Jones continues to impress; did I mention Perrilloux was suprisingly poised and effective?

But the thing that stuck with me at the end of the game was the awesome group of seniors: Dorsey playing hurt and fighting through double and triple teams without getting frustrated and making stupid errors; Craig Steltz was everywhere; Jacob Hester with and without the ball, on offense and on special teams; Ali Highsmith with his ears pinned back; Early Doucet looked like he was playing hurt, but playing hard; Zenon with the pick; Chevis Jackson with a near-pick and some great open field tackles; Luke Sanders made a bunch of great tackles, Patrick Fisher was THE MAN; Kirston Pittman had a great game; was that Zinger running down the sideline with post-catch yardage?

You get the picture. It was a senior led game, all the way across the roster.

I know - Dandy Don type of post. But if you go back and watch the game, you'll agree. Flynn will get his chance to make his final contribution in 34 days.

I wonder when there's been a finer group of seniors at LSU? And I don't think that's hyperbole - I think this group just wanted this season more than any other group I can remember.

How much of that can we credit to Miles' leadership and relationship with them - his "molding"?

If Perrilloux turns around and has two fantastic years at LSU, I'll be giving Miles credit for that as well.

i think you're on track. i was thinking the same thing when i rewatched the game. it's a great group of guys who've given their all for CLM, the team, and us fans. their absence will be noticed next year.

I would have to add Flynn to that list. You know it killed him to sit this game out, but he encouraged and helped Ryan like no other. After 5 years, this kid just sums up the word TEAM.

I'm very proud of our seniors, some of whom have battled through the season injured most of the time.

Anytime that I feel just a tad "guilty" that LSU backed its way into the BCSNCG (how sweet it is to type that!), I think about these guys and say "h*ll, yeah," those guys deserved it! They epitomize the word CHAMPION!

And what the hell is wrong with that ? We are LSU fans after all. Personally, I'd rather focus on what is positive. There's NOTHING wrong with feeling good about LSU and promoting positive things that happen. Its been said before but these are the good ole days ! Why shouldn't we celebrate the good things that are happening ? People who know football fully apprecitate how difficult it is to put together the type of season we just had. Yes we have alot of talent but so do alot of other schools. Championships don't just happen, alot of hard work, preparation and luck is involved. Hats off to LSU (no pun intended!) !
