Couldn't stay with it tonight, had to keep checking in. From what I saw, it was a great win, but what set the fans off? I saw things get a little rough midway through 3Q, and it seemed like after that, they booed every time SA got the ball. I must have missed the final straw.
anybody know how you're able to put up a 26 spot and still dish out 17 helpers? unreal. MVP contention, at the very least
There was a bogus call of a foul. I think it was Tony Parker (someone correct me if I'm wrong) driving into the lane, slipped, and the ref called someone on the Hornets for a foul. The fans went ballistic.
Bowen (SA version) and Paul were fighting for a ball. Paul was on the floor and Bowen was standing over him. Bowen put a knee to Paul's head and they called Paul for a foul.
The West race can tighten back up considerably if both the Hornets and the Rockets beat the Lakers, and the Rockets lose a couple to teams like Boston and Phoenix, the Hornets and Spurs going thru a really rough schedule as well. In about 10 days from now, we could conceivably be looking at the 8th place team being 2-3 games behind #1. Crazy.
In Bowen's defense, it looked like from what I saw (I only saw the play once), that Paul put a leg to Bowen's testicles, whether intentional or unintentional, that can make a man angry in a hurry.
They actually showed it once again during the half time highlights. You could be right. It wasn't a very good camera angle.
I believe that this would be the moment in question:
Bowen suspended one game for incident with Paul Wow... looks like Bowen got what was coming to him. Goodbye consecutive game streak.
