Eh? But from the first Rivals100 to the last Rivals100 he ended up at about the same position. I don't think anyone doubts that Deas could end up as a pretty good DT, but with his explosion and strength he could be a flat out dominating OG.

I just don't think you take someone who was called the best D-linemen in the CaliFlorida bowl and rivals says could be one of the best defensive lineman coming into college this year and throw him to a position where he doesn't have as much experience when we have Zhamal Thomas and Matt Allen as 4 star recruits at OG.

I don't really follow recruiting, but updated list with Keiland Williams. Give me the other two names and I will add them too.

Does any one think OL players coming in this class, will get any playing time ,maybe cleanup at the end of a game well in hand. I don`t really know how deep we are at these postions?

Loadholt will...he's a JUCO guy so should step in and get some playing time immediately. As far as the others, we have Peter Dyakowski, Brett Helms, Ryan Miller, Herman Johnson, Will Arnold, Max Holmes, Ciron Black, Paris Hodges, and Brian Johnson coming back.

Miller at C, Helms and Arnold at the OGs, and Herman and Brian as the tackles will most likely be the starters.

Dyakowski and Paris Hodges are the only backups with any playing time as Ciron and Max both redshirted this year. Ciron is a tackle and was the #12 rated tackle coming out of high school. Max can play C or OG and was the #4 rated center prospect.

Zhamal Thomas and Matt Allen look to have the best chance to log some serious playing time outside of Loadholt, but it would not surprise me to see others besides Ian Symonette who is supposed to be somewhat of a project at OT.

Isn't Loadholt supposed to be raw and a bit of a project as well? Has trouble staying low.

Yes he gets too high sometimes, but his coaches have been working on that with him. From the limited video that Rivals has on him he looks to be athletic with pretty decent quickness with his feet. Sometimes it seems as if he doesn't get his hands up to push away the defender quick enough during pass protection and the defender is able to get in close and really negate his reach and leverage. The good thing is they still have to get around his MASSIVE frame. The coaches obviously feel that he can come in and play immediately otherwise I don't believe they would have offered him as a JUCO player with only 2 seasons to play.

I like the in-state crop very much. The kid from Elton is frikin huge. I watched him in that Army all-American bowl. I was also glancing at the prospects list on rivals.com. LSU is actually recruiting kids from Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes again. That area has some great ball players. I remember Ben Bordelon in 96 from South Lafourche high. Really good OL. This class should be a good one for Coach Miles. Also, I live in Spring, Texas. Westfield HS has been in the semifinals and in the 5A playoffs for the past two years. This McCray kid should be a stud at the next level. I am glad to also see kids from my old stomping grounds. New Iberia, Lafayette. Any kids being recruited from St. Martinville this year? Take it easy, Tiger fans. To all verbal commitments, welcome to the greatest place to play college football LSU! :geauxtige :helmet:
