    Talked to a guy tonight who said Doucet's HS coach told him that Early said(double hearsay, I know) he complained to Jimbo about not getting enough action and Jimbo said, he'd love to but he couldn't with the QB play.

    I totally disagree. The defense will likely be our strong point next year considering the number of returning lettermen and this year's recruiting effort vis-a-vis defense. Secondly, Coach Miles tried his best to keep Muschamp, offering him total control of the Tiger defense. The new defensive staff are proven qualities. Thirdly, the Big 12 is not so mediocre anymore. Fourthly, we have a very favorable schedule next year argues against a 4-loss season.:geauxtige

    obviously. we (jimbo) were handcuffed by bad qb play this year and played to stay in games as opposed to simply trying to light up the scoreboard. While the play calling was ultra-conservative, we did have a chance to win every game minus UGA.

    One person who wanted the head coaching job and would have accepted if offered was Jack Del Rio, a proven pro coach. Skip knew he would take it but wanted to name a coach before the NFL season was over and refused to wait. An NFL head coach vs an unproven Big 12 coach who has never won a championship and only claim to fame is he beat OK twice? Easy choice. :cuss:

    First of all, excuse me for having an opinion! As far as the Big XII, if I'm not mistaken you are only refering to one team, Oklahoma. I still say pound for pound that teh SEC is a better conference overall. I am a true fan, I am also a realist! I hope to GOD I am wrong about the 4 losses but I'm not sold on our new defensive staff. If I'm wrong about it, then I'm sure we will all be happy!

    Del Rio fired his agent because of miss communications between us and him. Skip had already made his decision after the hoopla that went on between us and DRio...

    yep del rio was all mixed up...seems he was very interested yet wasn't sure how to go about interviewing and not screwing up his current gig if word got out and he didnt get the job. so he fired his agent to save face.
