2005 Thread - OK..let's hear it. Who's got beef with this staff. Come clean right now

I want to know who doesn't like this staff ...come mid-season next year, I don't want to hear endless whiners complaining about how they 'told us so'. If you've got a problem with the staff, go on the record now...otherwise, don't pipe up next year talking about how you 'knew' something was going to happen if we lose a game or two.

For the record, I'm very pleased. I think every single position is quality.

Great post philter!!! (As i have wrote in 3 other posts), I love this staff as well, esepcially all the NFL experience some of these guys have. I am ready for football season.

I wonder who will chime in first with some ridicule. Obviously some have doubts, there is already a post about Pelini being the "short term, who is next"....

Hey if Pelini is building a defense for a dynasty and keeps getting fitted with platinum every year, why would he want to leave? :crystal:

i have a beef after hearing Charlie Weiss interviewed this week by Jim Rome. Since Belichick is a parcells understudy, his assistants aren't allowed to speak to the media which Weiss was.

I know you can't put stock in a coach simply by a few words but he was impressive to say the least. Said he puts in 100+ hrs a week 7 months out of the year then cuts back to 80+ in the offseason although he knows its unfair to expect it of his other coaches though its all he knows. Its how parcells did it and belichick and they cant do it any other way. He also spoke of the art of play calling and how it is different than simply studying teams and tendencies. How he gets a feel when to call the exact plays, etc.

So, I'm on record based on one simple interview concluding I would hire Charlie Weiss as my head coach because this guy is not just book smart (almost max score on SAT) he's also football smart, a tireless worker and of the saban/belichick mold.

I don't really have a problem with it, I just hope our offensive play calling improves over last year. we have unreal WR with serious speed.......lets see some downfield passing JIMBO

Weis was an awesome hire, when people ridiculed ND for thier '4th' choice I just laughed. ND lucked into the best hire of the off-season IMO.

I have a little problem with Jimbo's playcalling. The last two years my brother and I knew 90% of the time exactly what play was going to be run. He did get a NC with his playcalling though.

Miles is no Saban. There will be a drop off
