The absolute ONLY way I see a split NC is if we bet tOSU maybe 3-0, and OU destroys WV, like 49-14. The AP could fall in love w/ OU and give them their NC award. However, I think this is highly unlikely. 80% of everyone questioned (ESPN, FOX, sports analysts) about this game said it should be LSU vs tOSU. I think they got it right. :geaux: :crystal:
I would be more concerned about Georgia winning 45 - 0 and claim they should be the #1 team. Of course that will not work, only get them a few votes from the south. I'm pulling big for Georgia in the Sugar. A big win by LSU, Georgia and other SEC teams will only help our recruiting efforts. I'm sure everyone realizes why we are in the NC with 2 loses, right? Winning the SEC puts us ahead of OU, Georgia and all other teams with any kind of argument. I feel sorry for Mark Richt. He really comes off bad whining so much. He should be saying they missed their chance against Tennessee.

I disagree about Richt whining. He's got a beef, but he's not complaining too much. He even said when asked about winning your conference that he thought it SHOULD be a rule. But it's not, and he just got jumped by several teams, when he didn't lose a game. OSU moved UP two spots with playing a game, and was only one position ahead of UGA when the weekend started. Mark Richt is a class guy, and I'll too be rooting for UGA in the SB.
Yeah, I never saw Richt whining about it. Making your case when the media directly asks you to is not whining.
