#2 LSU vs #9 Auburn Official 2019 Gameday thread

You guys better come back from outer space and back to earth. Yes we are are a very good football team but as you saw today we can be beat. Both Bama and dareI say A&M can beat us. We are all pissed off cause we didnt score 50 points, WTF is that?

 

Well, our next big game is Bama and I was a few years younger last time we scored on them.....

 

Different teams. AU is good, but not good enough to totally shut down our offense. Coaches were scared.

 

I feel like we were playing not to lose rather than playing to win like we have in the past where it has bit us in the ass.

This!! I was freaking pissed here. Felt like we had gone backwards in time

 

Running out the clock and not risking a turnover. Was still a two possession game at that point, wasn’t it?

 

But it was obvious they were going to fight us harder that close to the goal line

 

Our objective was to use so much clock (and make them use a timeout) that they wouldn’t have enough time left to score twice- it worked, sorta.

 

If you're going to try to hit a big play, 2nd and short is the ideal time to do it, so that you still have a manageable down and distance on 3rd if you don't hit it.
