Just over midway thru the season, the Kentucky starter Grundy had only allowed 32 hits all season, LSU hit him for 15 tonight! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

 

Mainieri in his interview on LSU radio all Dead serious about beating Kentucky tomorrow, while a lot of us would just send our starters on a plane tonite to Hawaii to celebrate ... Once heard an LSU poster compare Mainieri to George Steinbrenner with how they share a ruthless drive to completely dominate baseball, and it was a really good comparison. Gotta love our coach, who has already been inducted into the Hall of Fame..

 

Man, they dominated Kentucky hard core. Is this a team of destiny????

 

I'd love to see LSU sweep the polls at #1 after our dominating statement winning the series v UK in the first two games in domineering fashion

Note: current #1/#1/#1/#1/#1 UNC just won their series W 12-4, W 5-3 over Maryland, who LSU beat W 1-0, W 5-1, W 14-3 in our opening series of the season

 

#5/7/8/11/11 Oregon just lost their series vs. #21/22/23/24/NR Arizona State, L 6-5, L 1-7

 

So far this season, LSU and UNC are clearly the two best teams in the nation...
