Boy, between this site and tigerdroppings, you'd think the world ended last night. We got the "W", and that's all that counts. Let's ask USC and Oklahoma fans how they're feeling right about now.

Auburn has always been a tough place for LSU, particularly for quarterbacks. While Mett did look lost at times, he at least didn't have a meltdown like Jarrett Lee, Rohan Davey, and Jamie Howard, heaven forbid, did in their games there. We can take solace in the fact that Mett didn't give the game away, and hopefully, he's gotten rid of the butterflies from his first big SEC road test.

The key for LSU is to learn some valuable lessons from this game and to use it to move forward. Besides, I would much rather have a team that starts off slow and gets hot at the end of the season than for a team to come out hot and coast the last few games like last season's team. As for the rankings, it really does not matter at this point. Depending upon next week's games, we could be playing a Top 10 team in the Swamp in a couple of weeks. Then, there could be a Top 5 matchup with South Carolina and a date with #1 Alabama. If Georgia can stay undefeated as well, and we meet them in SEC Championship Game, there is no way, despite the records of any other teams, that the winner of that game is left out of the BCS Championship. However, this team HAS to get better in all facets of the game for us to think that far.

No undefeated SEC team will ever be left out again. If they move us down this weekend, we'll be back at no. 2 before the Bama if we win out. By that point we'll have played a top 10 and top 15 SEC team. We'll move up.

An ugly W is always better than an L of any type. I agree that getting the W is great, but I don't think being concerned about our play necessarily means I think the sky is falling. If anything, I am hopeful that we played our worse game of the SEC season and get better and better moving forward. Actually, I fully expect that to be the case. Every road trip in the SEC is dicey and I will not look down my nose at winning any of them.

if it had been bama playing that auburn defense last night with the same outcome the sports world wouldn't be talking down about them. they would be talking about how great auburns defense played against the #1 team in the country and how auburn was so motivated for this game. But, since it was LSU it's all how LSU squeaked a close one to a team on the slide and that almost lost to ULM.
We have a new qb in his first SEC road game in a hostile stadium. Les has always had trouble with playing AU and his record proves it. We got the W and lots of good video to study. We will be better because of this game. We have a harder schedule ahead so lets hope the teams offense improves and we kick some ass

Which is twice more than Saban ever did, sir. Have you not followed the LSU/AU series? The home team won every game for like 15 years. Les broke that shit up. BTW, AU hasn't won in Tiger Stadium in a millenia.

Sir I'm not dissing on my LSU Tigers. I'm being positive with that win last night. To many negatigs talking shit about a 12-10 win. I loved it. Hell yeah! It's games like that that make
People spend money in the tickets and keep their asses in the stands for 4 quarters. We r gonna rock man! Zach got his cherry popped and you can bet he wants more. With the experience him ,and the rest of the young guys got lastnight , they are gonna use it as motivation and a learning experience. It's time to let the defense hold the head while the offense breaks it off in that ass for the rest of the season. LSU!

The concern has to be the OL. We can't afford any more injuries and expect to protect Mett against the top teams in the conference. While Mett is a better QB than what we had last year, he is a pocket passer who has to be protected. It's even more important that we use play action and throw more on 1st down to keep teams honest.
