Hey I'd love to roll everyone by 40, but at some point you're going to have to scratch and claw one out. This was good for Mett and all of our young guys.

I don't know, maybe number 2 is over rated. Not LSU, what I mean by that, is that while we didn't look like a second best team, you have to ask yourself, as compared to what? I haven't seen any team that I think is better than LSU other than Alabama. Maybe it's a push between Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina at this point, I haven't seen Oregon play yet. I think it's the term number 2 that could be in fact over rated this season.

Well let's look at how our competition is doing this week:

OU lost to K State at home.

FSU is struggling with all its might to hold off Clemson, at home.

Oregon is not looking particularly sharp against Arizona, at home.

The team that everyone ooh'd and aah'd over Bama thrashing last week just lost to freakin Rutgers, at home.

In order for LSU to lose their ranking, someone has to take it's place. Not looking like there'll be any change at the moment...

I think the O-line is overrated. What killed us tonight was penalties and the red zone turnover. Very sloppy.

On the bright side, our defense is solid. They didn't give up 100 yards rushing (86) or passing (97).

I disagree, while tonight was an eye-opener, the last thing we need is a cupcake before we go on the road to Florida. Yeah, I know this isn't the trt florida but I can assure you after seeing the egg we laid tonight they are licking their chops because not only do they "believe" they can win it, if we show up like we did tonight they "will" win. Just my opinion but I think this team may be a little too full of press clippings. Caution is advised.

Which is exactly why they needed a punch in the mouth tonight. Better it happen tonight in a close win than against Florida where it would have been a sure L. This team is going to be a work in progress. When you lose two key starters in back-to-back weeks, not even counting Mathieu, it's even more of one.
