Alleva said if the demand is there for the east upper and south upper, in other words if all the tickets are sold and there is still a demand, they will open those sections. Remember what was done for us in 2005. This isn't that bad, the team doesn't have to travel and it's essentially a home game in the SEC even though it's technically not.
So now that we know what's happening, how are we feeling about this game? I saw that the point spread went from 13 to nearly 20 after the change of venue to Tiger Stadium was announced. So far, it looks like SC is having a down year at 2-3 heading into this one.
You never know how a team is going to respond to something like this, plus LSU has definitely been playing down to the level of competition. Yet another game where it wouldn't be wise to look past this week's opponent.
South Carolina is on their 3rd quarterback, but that didn't seem to matter to Syracuse, they have athletes and Pharoh Cooper is one of the best receivers in the country. That stud receiver for MSST had a hell of a game against us, but he also had Dak throwing it to him. This QB is a runner. South Carolina will be motivated. The question is can they last. If I had to bet I would bet it's close until about 8 minutes left in the 4th when LSU starts to pull away and beats South Carolina by 20 points. Miles will have the offense grind them down until they just run out of gas. Linebackers have to step up though, they will be tested against an athletic running QB.
That's what was being reported today by Jaques Doucet. He said it's the first time LSU will be wearing purple at Tiger stadium vs an SEC opponent since 1994. https://twitter.com/jacquesdoucet/status/651885865250123776 Also 20k tickets have been sold already in around 5 hours.
