The white jerseys are tradition and hopefully they'll always keep the simple design. While I like the purple jerseys also, maybe that should be the one that they mix up from time to time with different versions.
I know it's heresy around these parts, but I never got the thing with the purple jerseys. I like them. Better than the white. Cowboys fans hate the blue jerseys and I think those are better than their whites too... Anyway, it makes no difference. If we lose because of the jerseys we are wearing, we aren't a good team anyway.
the rule may have changed but i think you're right... i remember when dinardo first had us wearing white one of our regular SEC opponents (war chickens iirc) objected... so we wore white for every home game except them and the non-conference foe
That wasn't the only game where there was a change. Apparently 6 games were moved around on the ESPN schedule. I assume to change the station and try to prevent changing start times. Tulane game was moved to ESPNU for example. Think UCF game was moved too.
This is a big "if." But of course, ESPN didn't want to lose out on the Leonard Fournette show on their main station.
