All a publicity stunt. Drug on for a few days before digging it up, and then televised to un-earthing, then sell on E-Bay with all proceeds going to the charity that the Red Sox support. Very little doubt in my mind that both teams were involved in this from the beginning.

please. if it were me, I would have: not told anyone until the construction was complete not used a cheap "replica" instead of authentic chosen Manny instead of Papi sold the location to the highest bidder during the World Series (yanks being at home watching on TV at the time would allow them to begin the search immediately)
