disarming people wouldnt solve shit, make things worse more than likely. A 165 gr slug to the child molesters head on national news would stop a lot of that shit by making other sick fucks think twice. I don't much care for politicians. I think most of them are only in it for their own benefit and a power trip. They could give a rats ass about the rest of us. If their laws are so good then they should have to abide by them themselves. Lead by example. They want Obamacare, sign up for it. They want gun control, disarm their security teams and do away with secret service. They want higher taxes, they should start paying the taxes they owe first. Uncle Sam creates more problems than they solve. Do you really think they can solve yours?
oh this is really nice of this gentleman. Neil Heslin, the father of a 6-year-old boy who was slain in the Sandy Hook massacre in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, stoically faced down pro-gun activists last night. More than 1,000 people attended a hearing before the Gun Violence Prevention Working Group at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford on Monday to share their views on gun control, USA Today reported. Among them was Heslin, who held a large framed picture of himself and his son Jesse as he urged officials to consider strengthening gun laws in Connecticut. But as he gave his emotional testimony, pleading with lawmakers to improve mental health options and to ban assault weapons like the one Adam Lanza used to murder his child and 25 other people, his speech was interrupted by dozens of audience members, The Connecticut Post reported. “I still can't see why any civilian, anybody in this room in fact, needs weapons of that sort. You're not going to use them for hunting, even for home protection," Heslin said. Pro-gun activists responded by calling out: "Second Amendment!" Undeterred, Heslin continued. "There are a lot of things that should be changed to prevent what happened." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/29/neil-heslin-father-of-newtown-victim-heckled_n_2572503.html
I feel for the parents of the victims. But that kid had mental issues. We use AR 15's to hunt coyote and hogs. And I'm sure there were lots of people that wish they had AR's after Katrina and Sandy rolled through. The store owners in LA during the riots could've used them also. Some did if I'm not mistaken, Koreans. I believe I have as much right to a semi-auto ,handgun or rifle, as a person has to a Pack of cigarettes or a Porsche. I dont think The founding fathers had deer hunting in mind when they wrote the 2nd Amendment. This world is crazy. We have a powerful military but when you have an armed populace that is an even better deterrent. I would think also, that the people living on our southern boarder feel more comfortable if they have the choice of an AR style rifle. For their own personal defense.
I just love being told what I need and don't need from people who don't know the first thing about what they are ranting about.
If I wanted someone to tell me when and what to do all the time. And what I did and didn't need, I'd have never gotten divorced.
what is not widely reported is there is a father of a sandy hook victim that is giving interviews stating just the opposite. he believes that more gun laws wont solve anything. that we need to focus on the laws we have and work on keeping hands out of criminals and the mentally ill, and that more focus needs to be on the mentally ill. but that over all gun bans for law abiding citizens wont do anything. it is on the fox news site.
really not point in posting, sure people have different opinions, but I wouldnt heckle the guy who gave the interview to fox news when his child was just killed last month. Of course others here missed the point, but oh well.. I wouldnt say the guy was "ranting", but probably giving an emotional answers out of real pure hurt.
i guess i misread your post. my misunderstanding. i dont believe in heckling any of them. they all have their feelings and opinions and those parents are the ones that have the most reason to give them whatever they are. but despite what one would think i have read a few stories that the families stand on that something should be done but have differing opinions on gun control, but it seems like pretty much across the board most think we should focus on treating the mentally ill and keeping guns out of their hands.
Again, Lanza DID NOT USE THE RIFLE, it was in the effing trunk of the car. That is what the report said not the goofball conspiricy video that is running around. From the link in the OP
