Before we imploded LSU wasn't outclassed by anyone, just underperformed. I'm thinking Eaux is enough to push us over the edge. I think we're about to go juggernaut.
i will agree. I will also add that if your offense is going 3 and out quite often, your defense will be gassed, no matter how well they play.
Didn't read it anywhere. Just saying. LSU is sitting at 4-2, we lose a rent-a-win, and play Ole Piss, Bama, Rkansas, Florida, and Faggies the last 6 weeks of the schedule. Not saying LSU won't or can't win at least 2 of those games, but it's a brutal schedule for anyone. I have confidence that Piss and Florida are pretty much wins, but in this day and age you just never know. All I said was it a real "possibility".
Interesting thread. Be clear this schedule is the real test for "O". Talent wise its only ALABAMA and it may be a TOSS. No other program has what we have on the field. NOT one has the number of players rated to go in the 1st two rounds of the draft this year. Ole Miss is gimmicky TEMPO but has very good Wide Recievers, NO Running game and their defense gives up a lot of rush yards. We have enough to win here, I'd like to see TEMPO from us coach O. Florida has a terrific Defense but very little on offense; a break for us at home. Arkansas, Big test for O because they just dont have the talent we have; Will he have them ready to play. Texas A&M with an experienced big game QB and good playmakers will be a tough road game for us. Now for Saban, at home. Coach O here me..Defensively Alabama is a situational substitution team and Saban hates when he cannot substitute players, so we cannot play into his hands as Miles did for YEARS. We must employ their game plan used on us last year on them this year if we are to have a chance. Early, hurry up offense, run defense side to side, make them cover the entire field, run tempo, and then unleash the BEAST. Derrick Henry ran over a very tired LSU defense last year with this strategy. This is the chance this is the scheme O. Now they have a dual threat QB the game will come down to how well O insulates our mediocre O Line from the rush and keep the chains moving in our favor. Time of possession must be in our favor to have a chance. Now for that 1st half of the Southern Miss game...Showed me the coaches did not have the team ready. They reverted back to a Miles strategy to hold the cards to the vest given this upcoming stretch. The 2nd half looked more like the Missouri Game. Rough Stretch for any coach but PERFECTION is the standard from O and he made a huge mistake not having that team ready to go out of the blocks in that So Miss game. Great finish but Alleva and TAF were looking at that 1st half. I will always put our PROGRAM before any COACH. I want to see more of a Missouri game plan; I like our chances with 3 WR's and FOURNETTE/Guice in the Backfield. We are in the SEC; bring it ON!
This point always gets brought up when talking Rkansas vs. LSU, yet LSU lost the last two by a combined 48-14, and is 4-5 vs. Rkansas since the 2007 season.
What concerns me with Bama is our D against their running QB. We have been gashed without giving up points because our db's are good. This guy is on a different level for a fresh. If he can run at will and our secondary has to help, it will open the big plays for them. I hate kiffen, but I've watched him decimate defense this year. The only reaso OM was close was because they can score at will. I hope our guys button up the run game with our front. CDA has done an awesome job in his first year with our players and Pete has done great too. Just takes time with new system and I'm sure Saban has Sark working on it already. Hope I'm wrong and we throttle them like 62-10.
BFD. If making a bowl has meaning, we're already phucked. Bowls are shit. Playoffs bruh, either you're in or you're not.
