Why? How long did he want be: "The Nation's Highest Paid Assistant"? Surprised he stayed for 2019. Not many expecting him to win a National Championship at Baylor. I doubt he comes back to the SEC. Could see him going NFL or to a West Coast team. USC will likely need a coach soon.
Aranda did shit on the recruiting trail, and while he may be a very intelligent defensive mind, he absolutely failed to adapt his scheme to fit his players and he has the personality of a wet carrot. Maybe I’m wrong, but I do not see him as a college head coach.
15-0? And he didn't adapt his scheme to his players? You're a "Special" kind of special. Sounds like a typical LSU message boarder. If he's not here right now, then he sucks.
But he is wrong. LSU had the 2 Top Coordinators ( One called a PGC..) in the the country & let both walk right da fuck out da door. They kept the 2 old asses. SMH.. Recognizing coaching talent, not a strong point with the LSU powers that be.
Tap, that is the exact reasoning you refuse to apply to O, but you will give credit to every coach that is gone. 15-0 isn’t enough to say O is a great coach, but it is enough to say Aranda is? How inconsistent can you be? Aranda is a very good defensive coach, don’t get me wrong. He’s not going to be a great head coach is my point. And yes, he refused to adapt his 3-4 scheme to the personnel he had. And he refused to let Fulton play inside technique no matter how much it burned him.
Let's see, coaches on staff during Les Miles last season at LSU: Dave Aranda -Defensive Coordinator/ Linebackers Corey Raymond - Defensive Backs coach Steve Ensminger Tight Ends coach Ed Orgeron - Defensive Line coach #2 National recruiting class signed Feb. 2016
