They already came forward that's how this story got out. I said she is brainwashed because she is defending him not because she has been quiet. And her parents probably had a lot to do with this "forgiveness" If his last name wasn't Duggar I bet there wouldn't be "forgiveness" from Jessa Duggar. How is it you are ok with a 14 year old diddling his little sister or at the very least don't think he should be locked up and you have no issues locking up a guy for life for running a website that was used to buy and sell drugs?
Not exactly. InTouch Magazine filed a FOIA to obtain the redacted police report. An entertainment magazine went after this story and likely had no conscience or care about how it would impact the victims, only in exposing Duggar. Well, you said, "It's just a shame that his sisters are so fucking brainwashed they haven't come forward". But let's say that you believe she is brainwashed because she is defending him. First of all, it happened 12 years ago. He's her brother. They are family-dependent. All those things make for a difficult situation and puts the victim in the driver's seat in terms of how to recover. What do you suggest? That she come out and say he's evil, a pedophile, she hates him, he should volunteer to go to jail? How realistic is that and exactly how would that help her? And BTW, she didn't defend him in the way you suggest. She said what he did was "very wrong". What she is defending is people calling him things like child molester and pedophile which isn't true in a legal sense and as far as we know, is not true today. It's something that occurred 12 years ago. I don't know what this has to do with anything. Like I said, forgiveness is about the victim. It can only free her from self-punishment or empowering the incident. I disagree. But again, it's not relevant. His name IS Duggar. They are family. We all make concessions for family. Please show me where I have said I am okay with it. I would have had no problem with it had he spent time in juvenile back when the incident occurred. We are now 12 years down the road. The statute of limitations has passed. He can't be tried as a child and he shouldn't be tried as an adult for something he did as a child. That's not how our court system works for anyone. He has quit his job, he has been living under public scrutiny and shame, and he is living with the embarrassment and pain his sisters are going through today. At this point, I think it's enough. There is zero relevance between Duggar and Ulbricht. Duggar was 14, Ulbricht is 31. Duggar has admitted to what he did and said it hasn't happened since. Ulbricht? Dude, be honest. He did far more than just "run a secret online drug website." "I’m running a goddamn multi-million-dollar criminal enterprise,” he said in one message, explaining why he was too busy to socialize.....Ulbricht may not have sold items directly, he did get a commission on every Silk Road transaction. This included sales of crack, cyanide, meth and more. (cyanide?....that's all about no good)....Ulbricht, in order to eliminate enemies, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to people who he believed to be hit men. While the hits turned out to have been staged by federal agents, Ulbricht believed he had arranged successful killings, and even requested and obtained a photo of the “murder.” In doing so, he displayed little contrition but instead commissioned further hits" So, no I have no issues with his life sentence.
In contemplation of the idea that if other people found themselves in the Duggar's situation, they would somehow act differently or with more moral fortitude, I don't think so. The Duggars delayed reporting for 16 months. Not good. However they did end up reporting. Most families/parents would not/do not. Why? "You like to think of loyalty as a good thing. Is it? In other words, if you think of a force in the world that’s going to create goodness, uphold moral principles, report wrongdoing, make the world a better, safer place, is loyalty the thing you put first? Loyalty may be one of the most subtle undermining sources of morality there is.....Loyalty predisposes people to collusion. When a family member is in trouble, what’s our first reaction? To contact the authorities? Usually not. We all know family is about protecting its own, damage control, and collusion. They lawyer up, hide the bodies, and destroy evidence. That’s what they do."
Im really talking about an outside person, not in the family touching their girls, the outcome would be different. I find it disgusting that his mother was doing robocalls saying transgender people would prey on children as pedophiles during an Arkansas primary. As Whoopi said, they want people to forgive them as Christ has, but they wont forgive other folks like gays and transgender people who are different from them. Frankly Im sick of folks like this and Im a Christian myself, so excuse me If i dont buy this, what more could they have done line.
It's complete bullshit. This fucker was finger banging a 4 year old. But it was a long time ago so who cares.
He wasn't on trial for that he was on trial for Silk Road, but if you think being an Internet drug dealer is worse than molesting a 4 year old that's your prerogative Bobby Brown.
