Well, you can do that with most teams, amigo. All teams have tendencies and favorite formations and plays. Coaches can't abandon a formation just because there are known tendencies from it. This is so for every formation, you know. Champions line up and run their favorite plays right at you whether you know it's coming or not.
The way I heard it was that they weren't just guessing the play but actually pointing out the specific gap. That makes me believe that signal stealing could have been the case.
very good point. agree, fully. execution is the key. having said that, it certainly a serious advantage if the other team can figure out the playcall in advance.
I would venture to guess that Hitt does not go to a "he" "hairdresser":hihi: A barber, maybe, a chick "hairdresser", maybe, but no way some dude "styling" his hair:lol: That's just my guess. Not that there is anything wrong with a male stylist, or anything Does Hitt even have hair?
John, how do you have time to do all of that crap above? I mean, going thru all of those plays, etc., seriously, dude, it cracks me up
Well said. I think I am not making myself clear enough. My point is that the defenses we face know what we are going to do before we do it to a large degree. Not every single play, that would be ESP. Maybe not the exact nuances of each play - they don't really need to. If they know it's a run between the tackles I don't think it matters much if it's a weak dive or a strong ISO, if the LB's are aligned to stop it and the safeties are playing up in run support that's a hell of a defensive advantage. That's all I'm saying guys. Now hopefully our damn fine football coach will cross me (and Georgia) up this week and do the unexpected and execute it well.
Last night on his radio show, Les said that LSU should have thrown for 350 yards against MSU but that he was stubborn and wanted to get the running game going to preserve a lead and keep the defense off the field. Les and Crowton know that the way to beat 8-men-in-the-box is to throw the ball downfield. They haven't had to do it much to beat the teams they've played so far. I expect Georgia will see the full-out passing game if they decide to stuff the run as the first four opponents have. And when they put all their DBs back into the game, our running backs will get some room to run.
