I've been pretty quiet about everything since the season started. I have my opinions and most of them have been vented in one way or another so thats that. I don't know one way or the other if this is true or not but it could explain why the line can't open up a hole. I'd bet the linemen are pissed if they are playing against a stacked deck and then getting called out for not performing. IF it is true then I'm glad it came out. Perhaps it will get the coaches to get their feces in sequence and change things up a bit.
I've read from the fans of other places he's coached that predictability is their main criticism's of Crowton. Having said that, I put zero stock in the credibility of the Hitt story. I do hope they change they're signals just in case. :hihi:
119 other schools say the same thing about their offensive coordinator every year. they can guess the plays. if you can execute plays theres not much other teams can do even if you give them the snap count. we're struggling with fundamentals. thats our real concern.
+++1 I have to say no one other than the players & coaches know if this is true. But since Miles runs the organization like the CIA none of us truly know anything about anything other than what we observe on Saturday. Lets say for the sake of argument it IS true. Then Hitt damn well DOES have the right to criticize & complain since he is one of the ones going out there every Saturday and getting his butt stomped into the ground because him & his 4 buddies are trying block 8 or 9 guys who know what is coming. Even if the other team has quite a bit less talent than LSU they can darn well stop something that they know is coming. I don't particularly believe they are stealing signals but I think LSU is SO predictable in what they do given formation a personnel package that it's almost as good as stealing signals. I'm no coach, just a fan who has been watching this stuff for decades and I mentioned in another thread that my impression was that I was seeing the defense move up to the right spots just before the snap. Now I know I saw this. Were they just lucky? Nearly every time? I don't think so.
