I definitely understand optimism for your team. I don't mean to say Auburn will be bad, just not better than last year. I mean, how do you "improve" on 14-0 with a Hesman trophy winning QB and probably the #1 or #2 overall draft pick leaving. and all of that in the SEC battling LSU and Bama who are both in prime position to make a run at a NC. Not as bad as a lot of people think? I can buy that, but "better" is just a dream.
And dont forget we come to Ala this year. They have AJ Mccarron replacing Macelroy, and he has a better arm and is more athletic. The get richardson back too. And they have had multiple top recruiting classes - they are loaded with talent. I think this will be our biggest game. Tuscaloosa holds 102000 now - its an awesome stadium
Fans are usually a little over-optimistic the year following an NC, myself included. We often misinterpret what the key element to your teams success was until it isn't there anymore. Auburn may improve in certain areas, but the dropoff in others will be so drastic that it might not matter much.
