Moved up 2 spots. Stayed the same at #12 in the irrelevant AP poll. I expect us to be 10 or maybe #11 in the BCS today. College Football Rankings - CBSSports.com
Beat Alabama this weekend and we are the second highest ranked SEC team. Beats a stick in the eye, eh?
Specifically, we would then be a top 5 team in November. If Bama then beats AUB, we are the top rated SEC team, a top 3 overall team, and a BCS contender. Just have to keep winning.:thumb:
Fair question....I think our D will match up much better against them than against Auburn. Should be a close game, we are at home, we have good special teams and we are "due" to win one against Saban after having come very close with weaker overall teams the last few years. I wouldn't bet my house on it or anything but I think we will have possession of the ball with a chance to take the lead in the 4th quarter. What happens then is a fifty-fifty chance, really.....but it should be a great game and I can't wait to watch it.
Well, there was this one time when we tackled a bunch of the bad guys and then we got the ball away from them and we scored a touchdown. That was a positive sign, don't you think? :geaux::geaux::geaux:
I'm gonna do something that I always hate people to do to me. You asked a question, and I'm gonna answer with a question...or two. Did you see LSU taking Aladambama to OT in '08? Did you see LSU hanging with Aladambama last season at their place? As has been stated, we are better than we were in both of those seasons, and they are not as good as they were...although they are still very good. This game is driven by hype and emotion, and anything is possible. Furthermore, not many saw LSU beating UF this year, but not many saw LSU struggling with teams like Tennessee. It's college football, it's SEC football...that's the things that make it so grand. You just never know.
That's exactly what I was going to post and why I think we have a chance, at least. I hate when we agree.
