11-1 LSU vs 12-1 Auburn for the BCS Title Game, is it possible?

I always pull for the SEC to get into and win the BCSNCG, but could you imagine if this were to actually happen...not one, but TWO SEC teams battling it out for the National Title?

Only ONE big play is what's in between Auburn and LSU swapping their current BCS positions.

My Coaches Poll projection includes the Wisconsin loss which I figure has about 35 ballots currently with Wisconsin ahead of LSU but not ahead of Boise State or TCU (basically a very irritating buffer). So just adjusting for that gets us to within 119 points of Boise State as it stands now. My projection has us within 110 points of Boise State in the final polling. The other 9 points could come from voters who had Ohio State ahead of LSU, so Ohio State losing could have a minor but highly impact-ful outcome.

Fresno State is my sleeper in all of this madness as they meet up with Boise State this Friday night. They are a quality team with a really good head coach. They had Nevada beat but couldn't close the deal last week. Coming off a loss, I would think they are going to come out with a purpose vs Boise. Hopefully Boise is looking ahead to the Nevada game.

This is my new favorite scenario. As I posted in my other thread my first wish is for LSU to make it and if that doesn't happen have the worst possible PR matchup happen. This kills two birds with one stone.

And again, i reiterate, the voters clearly will not vote for an Auburn LSU rematch. It has nothing to do with that, it has all to do with the computer poll disparity of LSU and TCU/Boise. The humans will think they put Boise vs Auburn in the title game (or Auburn/TCU for other voters), but will shocked when they find out the actual matchup.

LSU could conceivably not get a 1st or 2nd place vote on ANYONE'S ballot and still make the BCS CG.

Are they still making the final votes public?

I don't think they will unless someone leaks them.

So we won't know the deal until the BCS show comes on.

Seems like a couple of the computer polls release their info early whereas the majority of them keep us in suspense.

Just re-read your post, are you asking whether they will publish the coaches' votes? I would think so.

Yeah this. I remember the coaches complaining about them being public and couldn't remember if the NCAA gave in or not.

you would be correct, they do not have to make their ballots public starting this year.

So why is it important for Auburn to lose to Bama? The rest makes sense...
