I feel the same way about this. We would have won the West, but Florida would have been an enormous challenge.

I think we "could have" beaten them, but not sure we would have pulled it off. Remember, they won the BCSNC....

    Let's whip Auburn next week!

I'm just glad that someone outside of LSU fans noticed how poor the officiating was. Every year we've played at Auburn has been that way.

Look, mistakes happen & I accept that they are a part of the game. But mistakes go both ways - you shouldn't get screwed on all the calls like we do when we play there.

To say that a favorable spot on one third down of the LSU-AU game last year at LSU affected the game near as much as the consistent bad calls at Auburn the past several years is ridiculous. We got a favorable spot - a mistake, but ultimately probably had no effect. Did you not notice our 4th down conversion % last year?

True, but I like our chances in both situations, especially in the re-match against FU. We were clicking on all cylinders and were probably the best team in the nation at that point in the season.

Me too because with the talent on that team and the way we were playing at the end of the year, that one play quite possibly cost us a 3rd BCS title

Are you saying he had no influence on the final decision? He was just operating the equipment?

Stating the obvious, of course, I never excluded LSU from this. Ask anyone from Ole Miss about the LSU timekeeper--and it's been almost 40 years! I still maintain that all game "officials" that can affect the outcome of a game -- reply booth and official time-keeper especially -- should be held to the same standards as the on-field referees or these issues will continue to exist.

I know of one call in particular that was VERY favorable to LSU.
Why did Tubby not challenge the spot?

more believable than saying that everyone in the country EXCEPT those guys saw it.

    A couple of points:

    1) The writer does not substantiate his claim that the replay official was an alum or booster.

    2) The "Bleacher Report" is essentially a blog, with zero journalistic credibility.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth is fun and entertaining, but you're getting in a twist over some guy's opinion simply because he has a soapbox.

The call was indeed bad. However, the call in question was a 3rd down conversion, not a 4th down conversion. It wasn't something that would have cost LSU a possession.
