Yes. I look at San Francisco, a sanctuary city that allows illegals, including one who had been deported 5 times previously but he shot an innocent citizen to death for no reason at all. Of course, they are still a sanctuary city but they just closed the last gun shop and continue to be anti-gun.
The only helpful thing I can come up with is legalize drugs so there is less profit in gangs and dealing.
Or stop and frisk like New York had, where cops would stop black people and take their illegal handguns.
Missing the point completely. Taking action to achieve a reduction is far better than doing nothing just because it will not totally eliminate a problem. You can never eliminate roaches, but if you take no action at all because of this, they will help themselves to your kitchen. The fact that gun violence will never go way has no relevance to the fact that we can reduce it by taking some commonsense gun safety and responsibility measures.
What a load of crap. The laws we have are enforced, they are just behind the times. Law enforcement would like to do a lot more.
No crime has ever been prevented by a law. A law is nothing but a statement of what is unacceptable behavior in society. The only way you prevent crime is to take away the conditions that make committing a crime advantageous. Gun free zones are feeding grounds for potential mass murderers.
