The O is borderline bad for the SEC. Average at best. I do think their D is good, but you may be right in comparison to last year. The secondary is certainly suspect. It seems like they just lean on the line to get quick pressure and scare teams away from the passing game.
I'm somewhat baffled at the love. While pointing to the game winning pass against Auburn they fail to mention how bad of a pass it actually was. While lauding the total against Mississippi State, they fail to mention MSU is down by three touchdowns and Auburn's offense hasn't racked up 100 yards yet. (Longest drive was 47 I believe.) A&M ... Jekyll and Hyde doomed by being defined as they are; fictional.
SCRIMMAGES FOR LSU ... One and all starting with Utah St today and ending with Auburn... Called the Utah St game a rout by 40 and LSU only won by 36 points ... LSU did miss several scoring opportunities with sloppy play (at least 2 TDs) and should have won by 50 points LSU Beats Florida by 20 +
Georgia is a bunch of pussies and they gonna get bombed by Joe Burrow on Dec 7 that’s Pearl Harbor Day ...They may cover the 25 Point spread yet with Tennessee as it’s GA 26 Tenn 14 (12 point lead) at half
That is spot on. I know it's easy to say after the game is over, but one thing I noticed - the line started at FU -7. They were actually favored by a TD and obviously the line moved when everyone started loading up on Florida. I like looking for things like this because, for the most part, the odds makers know what they're doing when they set the lines and for it to move that much in less than a week had AU losing written all over it.
It's easy to say before the game as well. History repeats itself. When I opened this game on my Sportsbook game in September Florida was giving seven to Auburn. It opened this past Sunday at AU giving three. It's my opinion it's easy to see why: the narrative about Auburn that's been pushed so heavily these first six weeks. Along the same subject here's three games of note for this weekend. The lines on these games were published in September. I'm sure there's been movement since then ... have to look to see what it is this morning. (Circa should have their lines posted in about seven hours.) Bama -13 vs A&M LSU -2½ vs Florida (I glanced at that Friday on Covers and it was at LSU -4½) Notre Dame -11½ vs USC.
