So who Sport, who? Name someone besides Jon Gruden or Nick Saban. Also explain why any coach would come to LSU after they fired Mile when he was the winningst coach percentage wise in our history.
As long as Miles wins 10 games a year he will stay. Problem is, the coaching we saw in 2012 may not warrant 10 wins every year. And if the percentage goes down, then everything can happen. Problem is, would you like to be Aleva the one looking for our next HC? The thought scares me.
Just like I said, it's a loaded question, because no matter who you list, someone will find fault. First of all, I never mentioned Gruden, so why bring him up? I have no illusions about landing him. He ain't leaving the booth unless an NFL job in his sweet spot opens up. But there's a shot, albeit a small one, with the other 2. As for Ark's new coach, I would have listed him if I thought he would be a viable candidate. He wouldn't be my first choice, for sure, even though he's probably a better coach then Miles, he's not a better recruiter. Another guy that may deserve a look is Stanford's coach, David Shaw. It's easy to say, especially after just winning the Rose Bowl, but I'd like to see what he can do with his own recruits, rather than what Harbaugh left him. But he did lose Luck and still won the Pac 10 and Rose Bowl, so that says a little for his coaching abilities.
You seem to have caught it while I was posting. However neither you or anyone else has an answer to what would happen after LSU does as you repeatedly call for fire Les? What effect do you think it will have in attracting any candidate worth his salt? What confidence would a coach have if he faced the requirement that he win more than Less and get repeated SEC & NCs while outscoring any and all opposition by 50 a game or be fired. Because that is what it would look like from the outside. LSU would not be a trustworthy employer.
