Again, how can you blame the D for allowing 25pts against a very strong O on 100 FN plays? Its on the O and the play calling.
They certianly did make some mistakes and didnt play as dominant as Id like. Still in all no D will consistently hold up if theyre on the field for an entire game against an excellent O. I think if LSU sustains more drives the D performs much better. In the third quarter LSU was doing a great job against the Clemson O. It wasnt until they began to tire that Clemson moved the ball well.
I laugh at the love and the free pass Chavis is getting around here. Yes, our offense sucked. But make no mistake, our defense did, too. Big time. How about getting their asses off the field, instead of allowing long drive after long drive. Hell, maybe our offense couldn't get in a rhythm because they were only on the field every 20 or so minutes of real, not game, time. Let's face it, guys. We were not a very good team in '13--for any number of reasons. And the defense was a big reason.

LOL. My question for the Miles haters -- who else would you rather have (and don't say Saban)? Who else is out there that would be better?
That's the thing. I don't know who we'd end up with and, as bad as it is, it COULD be much worse. I'll make some members puke but given what Spurrier's done at South Carolina, I wish we couldn've gotten him here.
Miles said in the advocate recently that his 2013 offense team will be the best he's had at LSU. After last nights game, I think the Mayans are more accurate in their predictions. I really beleive that Miles tries to out coach himself. He makes decision only he understands. I bet when they ran the hook and ladder on the last drive, his mind was placed back in time trying to figure out where he'd seen that play before.
Agree. He does have a lot of good qualities but game day coaching IS NOT one. Last night he calls a TO and while walking out on the field, got side-tracked talking on the headset. OBJ had to pat him on the butt to get him back on task. I swear I saw this.
