While trying to not derail the thread any further, think about all of those dropped passes, dropped punts, kickoffs, etc. Missed opportunities all over the field...X4 years.
I have to disagree with this. How can he dictate to the coaches where he wants to play? And why would Miles not veto it, if he was against it? I always heard the coaches wanted to try him at WR and he agreed so he could have playing time. Once the braintrust (and I use that term loosely) realized he couldn't catch, they should have found other creative ways to use his talents.
Yes, they should've found better ways to utilize him, but there are tons of reasons why people get passed up on depth charts. All we as fans see are the games and maybe the big cat drill on YouTube, we don't see the practices, what goes on behind closed doors. Russell Shepard's career at LSU on the field, at best, was mediocre, but still a tiger to the core and a standup guy. I hope he blows up the NFL.
Agreed and for the rest of his life whatever happens with the NFL. He seem to be the type of kid who will be a sucess no matter what profession he chooses.
