We can't move when the same mistakes have continued on. Perhaps Les Miles should learn the fundamentals of clock management. He's only being paid several million a year. That's just too much to ask for though, right?
Others here keep refuting the inevitability of the upcoming decline in offensive recruits. When Les Miles made the comment about dreams coming to die in Death Valley, he was actually referring to his offensive recruits, i.e. Russell Shepard. I paraphrased the content of that quote.
wow those guys are not even comparable to to sheppard, I mean al woods and Jai eugene were both starters at least, and multiple years, al woods even went pro, shepp couldn't even break into the starting lineup.
How could Shepard be expected to earn significant playing time when the bonehead coaches insisted on switching him to wide receiver? His career was basically thrown down the drain with the senseless switch to wide receiver.
While I do agree with this, you also have to realize that as great of an athlete as he is, he couldn't beat Jordan Jefferson at quarterback. In addition to that, he has hands of stone, and unfortunately for him, that isn't something that can be taught. Plenty of chances to shine. Besides, the move was his decision, not the coaches. From what I understand miles was against it.
It's good to be informed of the information in your post. Still, I do not agree with the statement that he was given plenty of chances to shine.
