At this point, it's not even about Ws and Ls. It's about maximizing the potential of your talent, which we're not. If we do that, winning will take care of itself.
Even more puzzling than Alleva handing Miles an extension and a raise was the offer by Arkansas. Am I the only one that suspects a ruse by Les Miles to procure a raise and an extension? Don't go crazy. It was only a joke. It's not beyond reason to question Alleva's ability to hypothetically made a good hire, considering that he's so readily shafted LSU by continuously tossing out extensions and raises to an undeserving clown. It's as if he can't say no. Now LSU is on the hook and will be forced to sink along with Les Miles.
Winston, your post wasn't directed to me, but I'll offer my .02 cents I'm not calling for Les' scalp if he has one. All I want him to do is make some changes in his offensive coaching staff. IMO, we're not getting the offensive results that we need to challenge Bama, win the SECW and contend for a BCS game on a regular basis.
So you want to fire him if he goes 13-0 but doesn't maximize the use of talent? Don't bother to distain my question I know the answer. It just shows it is about Ws & Ls. Anyway that makes the exposure of the LSU job as untouchable even greater.
True and I think he should make changes as well....If you look few argue that and I haven't seen anyone take issue other than debating the liklihood of that happening. But there are several who are calling for his scalp and that is foolish IMO for so many reasons and that is the point of my posts.
You deflect as you and others call for Les's head without regard for concequences and so far refuse to answer the question. Try again.
I can hardly take your post seriously. As far as I know, Les Miles only has a single national championship. And it practically took an intervention from above to pave the way for that title. I'm sure you recall that we are the only two-loss team to have won the BCS Championship. It does matter. Any coaching candidate would realize that the administration and the fans do not expect perfection. Common sense coaching would be a good start though. A hypothetical candidate would also understand that we long only for a complete detachment from Les Miles' continued buffoonery. Why is that too much to ask? Coaches come and go. LSU is paying millions for an ape to mindlessly troll the sidelines. Can we not do better? I guess not, according to you. LSU doesn't have to prove trustworthiness as the employer of a multi-million dollar salaried position. That's left for the managers and lawyers to hash out in the terms of the contract. Personally, I know that I am sick seeing Les Miles' now classic deer in headlights look after the other coach gives him the easy slap to the face. He always reaches up and raises his hat high on his head and looks absolutely puzzled. It's sad.
