I'm not lusting after him idiot :dis: :dis: :dis: I know very little about him, but you don't not go after a top prospect because it might hurt another ones feelings, what a stupid rationale, but coming from you I'm not suprised.

You are a silver tongued devil. Still, I laugh at you.

If we do get Pryor, Brown, Scott, and McCray, we better line up to thank Patrick Johnson for opening that 5 star flood gate.

I cannot say for a fact whether contacted Pryor or not, but I'm pretty sure there was some correspondence early. What Pryor says is not that he wishes LSU had corresponded with him, but that he wishes we had recruited him. Not the same.

Here's the way I see it. We sent him a couple letters, he didn't think anything of it, so we didn't pursue. He wishes we had pursued, despite his lack of initial interest, because he thinks maybe we would've grown on him with a lot of contact.

When LSU is recruiting outside of its normal territory, our chances are very, very slim of landing prospects that do not show some real initial interest.

You guys can wish & wish all you want that we had spent tons of time recruiting this kid, but that's because you aren't the ones that have to put the time & effort into it with little chance of success, not to mention the adverse effects of less time to spend recruiting prospects we actually do have a shot at.

There won't be a "5 star floodgate"... :hihi:

I think this Patrick Johnson commit has gotten to some of your heads.

That's a good post, CP, and I agree with you.

But I have a hard time LSU will just roll over and play dead when a kid is calling out to them.

I'm sure they'll be calling or texting him once the dead period ends to try to gauge if he is sincere or not.

I do know that Patrick Johnson was one of the more popular guys at the Army game and he is being a really, really good cheerleader right now. Let's hope it pays off.

Edit: When I say "let's hope it pays off", I mean that in terms of other guys, not necessarily just Pryor.

    "but it's too late"

I feel like I'm the only person that read that part...

This was a simple comment made in passing. I seriously doubt he was calling out for the LSU coaches to recruit him at this point in the game. He probably already knows where he's going.

Supposedly, as was posted on the rivals National board anyway, a friend of his high school coach said Pryor told him this summer that he was interested in LSU but we weren't recruiting him.

As far as going after him- I don't remember but someone posted that they thought they remembered us having a qb committed and tebow said he wanted to visit LSU and we tried to recruit Tebow and we lost the other kid to Oklahoma State and Tebow to Fla. and got nothing all at qb. This all hapened late in the process.

Anyone recall this? Kinda goes back to what SabanFan said about a bird in the hand... not trying to hurt your feelings Twisted.
