It's the one game I think they have a great chance at losing. USC needs a signature win badly to salvage their season and this would definitely be it. Being #1 is a risky proposition and more times than not means you're going to lose your next game if it's against a formidable opponent. It has all the earmarks of a 48-45 barn burner.
USC is the only team in the fudge Pac-10 that has the athletes to stop Oregon's offense. Will they? Who knows, probably not. I agree with you on the over being around 80 though.
I don't know. I'd kind of like to see both Oregan and Auburn go undefeated and meet each other in the national championship. It would be a great game.
anyone else worried about the first game of the season next year? We lose Nevis, Levingston, PP7, and Sheppard on D. That is rough. I don't think Oregon loses anyone of any importance.
Don't count out Ole Miss against Auburn either. If there's one thing that I've seen, they are always the team that seems to score the upset no one sees coming. They did it @UF a few years ago, and they did it against LSU last year. And being on the road has burned a few #1 teams so far.
Correct. Oregon State has to be scaring the bejeesus out of out the Duck fans. That one also will be one of the 48-45 variety. I doubt seriously Oregon is running the table. Boise State may be in the national championship afterall.
No way USC beats the Ducks. SC couldn't even beat Stanford, who lost by 3 TDs to Oregon. I've watched Oregon play a lot this year, and there's no one else out there that can keep up with them. That is as fast-paced, explosive, and well-executed offense as I've ever seen. They actually look better than Florida did in their prime with Tebow. I think Oregon runs the table, and pretty easily, at that. In an ordinary year, an SEC defense may be a good match for them. But there are no great defenses in our conference this year. That said, there is no way in hell that any PAC-10 defense can slow them down. Oregon vs Auburn would be interesting. I'd be curious to see how the defenses would fare, considering that they'd be seeing the exact same offense that they're up against in practice everyday. Honest question: How in the world do you slow down an offense like that? All the size & speed in the world does you no good if you're chasing down the wrong guy. Is there a defensive scheme out there that could neutralize that ridiculously effective offense?
If Oregon holds USC to 31 or less then I say they run the table to 13 and 0 We get to see if the defense can hold up their end of the bargain this weekend
