The Senior Bowl is huge because both teams are coached by NFL staffs, not to mention every other team is on the sideline during the week of practice. The roster is put together using input from NFL personnel, so the league has a huge role in this game. These are the top guys that the NFL wants to see and a lot of players have made a ton of money by playing in the game and elevating their draft stock. This is by far the best all-star game out there simply because of the long relationship between the NFL and the Senior Bowl and the long history of success this game has had in producing future NFL players, including many taken in the first round!
My daughter and I often mention how humiliating that Mett moment was, crawling off the field. Hopefully, that was a low point. However, I am expecting us to get in our bowl practices and then "get COVID" and opt out like SMU and A & M.
I would never have imagined that I could feel this uninterested in an LSU bowl game. And its not because I'm afraid we will lose. I just don't think we (players, coaches, fans) feel like a team now. There are now 100 heartbeats beating at their own rhythm. I think that is the first thing CBK needs to do, get the players and coaches thinking like a team.
