:geaux: They could actually have a pretty formidable passing attack at Rocky Flop with Tyler Bray throwing to Patterson and Justin Hunter, assuming Hunter recovers from his knee injury last season. But if he is one & done as most say, he would have been much better off at UGA or LSU. :LSU231:

Until Miles shows recruits that he's interested in running a pro style offense and not an option offense I wouldn't expect out of state WR's to be beating down the door. I really wanted Patterson in this class. However if he were my son, as much as I love LSU, I would suggest he look for a team that throws the football. Talk all you want about how the offense will look different with Mett this season. It looked different with Lee too, but Miles wanted to run the option instead.

    I would agree with you.

With Stud sharing the same philosophy as the OC (and that's exactly why he is the OC), then I don't know if this offense will ever be truly balanced or take advantage of what they have in the passing game (e.g., Mettenberger). 2012 will tell us all we need to know.

Patterson landed in a great spot with 2 other very talented receivers already on that team. Tyler Bray is going to have a monstrous season.

:geaux: But he obviously has no desire to win ANY championships by choosing Rocky Flop. At UGA or LSU he would have had that opportunity, but Bray is definitely a fine QB to play catch with. Kinda funny though that if Patterson is one & done like most say, he & Dooley might finish their careers at Tennessee at about the same time. :hihi: :LSU231:

their passing game is going to be ridiculous.

Rogers, a former 5-star, was All-SEC last season and was #1 in the SEC in both receptions and receiving yards

Hunter is a beast who was averaging over 100 yards receiving per game last season before he got hurt

and now they add the #1 JUCO WR in Patterson

    that's a pretty scary line-up

they probably aren't even going to need a running game next season

Patterson must be really confident in the coach that's going to replace Dooley next year.

:geaux: All that's well & good. But like I said earlier, he must not have any desire to win any championships at Tennessee and Dooley is hanging on by his fingernails. They may leave Knoxville around the same time. Whatever blows his skirt up I guess. LSU will be fine without him. :thumb: :LSU231:
