IMO, Patterson is the best receiver in the entire class.

I believe AU is out of it, but I believe LSU is definitely still in it. UT is fading fast, and UGA is closing the gap. I like LSU's chances, but the Gonzales departure may open the door for Richt

The gap would be Murray vs Mettenberger. UGA's Offense vs LSU's Offense. My guess is UGA and Murray may be in the lead for this one.

I just dont see us in it. I hope I'm wrong. I think it comes down to how he felt about Mett. May seem silly but a juco kid with real pro talent wants to come in and make a splash. They have two years tops, obviously. I'm sure it is tempting to be a part of the passing game at Arky.....even Tenn. Hunter AND Patterson? That would give Tenn the top WR tandem in the league. Maybe the country. He would put up numbers at Arky and if they land DGB...good lord. There are some tempting situations but he wont have any real hardware. If he wants to win big games and be a part of a championship team I'm not sure how any of the other teams he is considering could stack up......we'll see.

    This is the deciding factor.

The NC game could not have enamored this kid to want to come to LSU. And I wouldn't blame him one bit to go to Georgia.

Les simply doesn't want to develop much of a passing game if he had his druthers.

:geaux: Don't see where Murray is a big advantage over Mett really. Mett was neck & neck with him at Georgia and came close to beating him out as the starter before "the incident". IMO, Mett will be on the same level, at the very least, when he gets on the field this season. Mett is just as talented as Murray. And even though Murray has a year more experience, he wasn't that impressive against the tougher competition he faced last year, re Boise, Clemson, & LSU.

As for the Georgia offense vs LSU offense, did you watch the SEC Championship Game? Our defense basically beat the brakes off Murray & the UGA offense after the first qtr. And then we beat the hell out their defense in the 2nd half with a JJ led offense. Can you imagine what we would have done to them with someone who could actually throw the ball to WR's & TE's? Mett will do that next year. :thumb:

Patterson could very well end up at UGA, but it won't be because Aaron Murray & the UGA offense is better than Mett running the LSU offense. JMO. :LSU231:
