I believe Randle will bypass Tolliver. Flame away.:)
    -
I think Tolliver will be improved, but Randle will be better. Tolliver has the tools, no doubt...but his playbook knowledge had better be improved.
    -
Also, I think Randle will shine in areas besides WR...like possibly returning punts.

So a true freshman is going to have a better understanding of the playbook?

Pep Livingston is an interesting pick. He's going from a relative unknown with some PT but no real impressive play to a starter, so he's definitely got the potential for a big season. Overall, I expect him being better, but not great.

strictly talking out of one's behind when we haven't seen Randle on LSU's campus yet.

You might be right, but from what I hear, Toliver (one L) is ready for a LaFell-style breakout year.

I dunno? That's why I said "I think". To me, Toliver has not impressed. Flashes of athleticism, and good hands for sure. But I think Randle is more athletic, will bypass him at some point during the year. It is my opinion.

FWIW, I listed TToliver as one that I thought could have a breakout year...then I watched some replays from last season. He still may have a breakout year...I hope he does. I still think Randle>Toliver.

And YOU might be right, too. I personally hope you are. I would rather not have to depend on a true freshman to help out Lafell. However, I HAVE seen Toliver, and unless he is much improved, he is not a great player by any stretch. I think that Randle will be an impact player immediately. A lot of folks thought the same about Toliver, and that hasn't panned out. Even when Lafell was suffering with the dropsies, it was obvious he was explosive. Toliver hasn't shown that, and I think Rueben will...this year.

And Clairice, you probably shouldn't accuse others of talking out of their arses.

TT was showing flashing of brilliance last year.. he is very explosive. He's at his best as a deep threat and his hands are fantastic.

He's poised to make some noise. I think he'll be a solid receiver for us. Better than D. Byrd last year easily.

I'm not sure that Randle is more athletic - he's just more polished. Toliver was one of the top WR's in his class (maybe even #1, can't remember) based almost entirely on his athleticism & measurables. WR's still need time to learn the playbook, and while it has taken Toliver a little while I think he's got the intricicies of the position down and will have a big year, and a HUGE year when he's a Sr without LaFell.

Randle has a lot to learn, and while he's an amazing WR, he's going to have to put a lot of work in learning all the small things that our coaches require before getting signifant PT.
