I read somewhere he admitted it, whether someone ratted him out or they have some new test I dunno.

    Can he pitch?

With Soriano going to the DL, who becomes the Braves closer--Moylan or Acosta?

salty is riding buses in triple-a ball while gerald lair occupies his spot.

4 strikeouts away from 3000 for mr smoltz. another shutout.

will be a historic moment if all 3 get elected to HOF and get presented at the same time which they each deserve (tommy boy, maddog and tiger woods jr).

ive heard many talking head idiots saying smoltz wont get in.

    what are they smokin.

because you know the heads beat it to numbers very night. baseball gurus are so obsessed with numbers it bothers the hell out of me. i think if steroids didn't damper the hr list they wouldn't have even cared.

anyways, my point is when smoltz went to the pen it cost him some quality "numbers" years.

though he was badass in that spot anyways. plus his postseason record is incredible.

i think in '96? he won 28 games if you count the postseason.

i knew the answer and thats why it pisses me off.

what smoltz did no one else has. its almost impossible to go from starter to shut down closer then dominate again as a starter.

what hes done is as impressive to me what maddux has done.

amazing these idiots arent aware since b/c they are obsessed with 300 wins.

Speaking of Smoltz, he did something tonite that hadn't been done since 1900.

He pitched exactly 5 IP of shutout ball, recorded a win and recorded double digit strikeouts.

Thanks to Tim Kurk-chin of ESPN. He always comes up with these bizarre factoids.

how the hell, with all the weird stats in baseball, has that not happened in over a century?

Id have guessed at least once every 5 years.

TIMKIRKCHIN comes up with some shiite.

Whomever says John Smoltz doesn't make it to the Hall should never utter another word in print, on TV, on radio....on any form of media about any baseball player. Strip the numbskull of his rights as a journalist.

He has done what Eck did, but only better. And he came around full circle, as Tirk alluded to. And he's the best postseason pitcher the game has ever seen.

    First ballot. Should be unanimous.
