Benton hasn't proven that he can play at the college level yet. Hell, he hasn't even proven that he can spell CAT yet and get into college. I can't imagine that Randle would let Benton steer him anywhere. Take some aspirin guys, and wait until tomorrow.
Rumor was squashed today over on Scout based on information numerous credible sources. It is not like Randle and Benton did not know LSU was recruiting both of them the whole time. This is the biggest time of the year for rumors.
Friend's brother opened new Italian restaurant today in Layette. I'll pass on the aspirin and have several glasses of wine instead 2nite. Another friend of mine (yes, I have two whole friends) said a DJ made the statement not Randle's father, FWIW. Anyone brave enough to step up to the plate and state that they personally heard Randle's father make the statment over the radio? *****sound of crickets****** I didn't think so. Courage !
Rueban hasn't come out and said anything, nor has his dad. As far as we know, nothing has changed. RR has known all along that Deangelo Benton was likely head to LSU too, so nothing has changed in the last day or so. If he was an LSU lean yesterday, than he is today. I still think we lead, but we will have to see tommorrow. either way, we have a fantastic class, and a class act like RR would be icing on the cake. :geaux:
This is becoming a tight race between LSU and OU but LSU is still in the lead. Nothing has been told to Les or Stoops yet.
