Baseball is an everyday game and a minor league team can coexist with MLB in the same city because its a good family fan experience at a reasonable cost compared to the $10 beers and $6 hotdogs at a major league game. Few people are going to become season ticket holders and ardent fans of minor league football. Remember the USFL? The XFL?

The wnba is not self sufficient. The nfl has more money than the treasury. They can surely support a minor league - league.
