Texas just fired their AD, Steve Patterson. As soon as a new AD is found Strong is gone too. Maybe sooner.
They can't keep raining $5 million salaries on coaches who have not been to any championship games. Story and Sumlin have to produce fast or deep Texas pockets will make another run at Nick . . . who is annoyed at the local criticism.
I will not be surprised if Strong is let go before the end of the season. That is likely the chief reason the AD was fired. And Saban, I think, would go to Austin. It has to be a better place to live than Tuscaloosa, for one thing.
