That's not something I can say I've noticed in baseball. It's not something I've paid attention to until now. If there are rules on the number and types of devices that can be used in the coaches box and on the sidelines, wouldn't it make sense to have things like that in place for the dugout in softball? Off hand, I can't think of a significant, game-changing advantage.
