1. yep
  2. I grew up listening to what my Dad listened to. Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Sinatra, Dean Martin etc. Those were in the days of albums. :D

  3. I didn't like Sinatra when I was a kid. It was only after I grew up that I came to appreciate how great he was.

  5. Weren't Al Kooper and Mike Bloomfield in the original Chicago?
  6. Sorta. I like some of their songs but way too soft to be considered a rock band IMO. More pop/ballad.

Oh Lord, bad memories. I played clarinet in middle school. We played both of those songs at a recital. 25 or 6 to 4 wasn't that difficult. Color My World? Ridiculous. I was first chair for 3 years but for that recital, I almost purposely screwed up so I didn't have to sit on the outside....so people wouldn't see how much I was messing up the keys.

  7. The original band was called The Big Thing, and consisted of Terry Kath (guitar, vocals) Robert Lamm (keyboard, vocals), Danny Seraphine (drums), Lee Loughnane (trumpet), Jimmy Pankow (trombone) and Walt Parazaider (sax). They were a Chicago area cover band, and added Peter Cetera (bass, vocals) shortly before moving to LA and recording their first album as Chicago Transit Authority. They then shortened the name to Chicago before their second album.

I've seen them 4 times, twice with Cetera and twice after he left. Wish I could have seen them before Terry died. Here's the video of their signature 1970 performance at Tanglewood. Great performance, and worth the look just to see how different live shows were back then compared to today:

  9. Saw Big Head Todd and the Monsters there. Amazing place
  10. Be more impressive if it were flute (shut up tiga, grown people are talking) but I guess I could see if it was a stage band, the clarinet has to have something to do.
