1. Re: Josh Williford

The 1958 National championship team went undefeated. The average size for a lineman on the White Team was 6-1, 202. Billy Cannon at 6-2, 210 was bigger than all but one of his offensive linemen. The Chinese Bandit linemen averaged 6-1, 198!
  2. Re: Josh Williford

Remember when the redskins had the "hogs". They were the biggest line ever assembled at the time and I want to say their average weight was like 265 with only one guy over 300, maybe 302 or something. At some point, these guys can't get any bigger and I gotta think we're close to that point if not there already.
  3. Re: Josh Williford

Billy Cannon definitely had 2008 NFL size but judging from the Halloween run video, 1958 speed. :D
  4. In his signing day press conf CLM mentioned Williford as getting some snaps.:miles:
  5. Hearing very good things about him. He could very well end up being the steal of the class. He is a monster size wise and seems to be developing really well.
  6. Great to hear! I really like him.
  7. I was in Dothan, AL with a girlfriend and saw a guy decked out in LSU gear. I went up and asked where in Louisiana he was originally from. He replied," I am from Germantown, TN." Then I asked when he went to LSU, the reply was,"I went to UT."

It turned out to be Josh Williford's father. He is a nice guy and now a devout LSU fan. FWIW, the people that I know in Dothan think a lot of Josh.
  8. Him and Hurst will be end up being steals by the time they leave LSU.
  9. "..or one of these young guys like Josh Williford, who just cannot be kept out of the lineup,” - Coach Miles

He is definitely a steal. He's huge, strong, and apparently he's learning quickly.
