We really do need to look at CB, because Jackson and Zenon will gone after next year. All we really have is Jai Eugene waiting in the wings. Im also expecting them to convert a WR or two to play CB. Corey Webster was a WR recruit and converted to CB his Soph year and was the best CB in LSU history IMO. Anyways, thanks for the explanation. By the way, what do you think are our chances with Scott?

I dont think McKnight is too fond of playing CB in college. Im sure John Williams will be used at CB. He is a sold 4 star recuit.

Have you seen Williams play? That kid will get a big time look on offense, he's so underrated. KR/PR could definately be in his future next year before settling down to CB.

Dandy Don feels Jones will choose between LSU and Arkansas, but I don't know where DD gets his information from. Jones has not made any such statement. DD is such a pollyanna that his prognostications often lack credibility.

Phelon Jones doesn't have an LSU offer, so it would be tough for him to chose us, plus he's a Miami commit at the moment so chosing between us & Arkansas makes no sense at all.

I just seen a few highlights a while back. He is an excellent athlete for sure. He would certainly make for a good return man. Its just we are gonna need to start developing corners. CB is the most overlooked position in the LSU D. They are asked to play a lot of man coverage. In order to do that you need excellent CB play.

LSU has made an offer to Jones, and his committment to Miami appears to have softened after Coker's firing.

I just found out that Phelon was offered as you say Bengal, but still not sure whether it is conditional or not.
